Levi’s GranFondo Cycling Fund Raiser is Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is my big day in the saddle. I can’t believe this day has finally arrived. As per usual, I am not as prepared for this ride as I would like to be, but I will grind through the 103 mile ride with over 8,900 feet of climbing. Thank you to all those who have supported this fund raising effort for San Jose Power Soccer. I will post an update here and on Facebook following the ride.

Coach Cycles for Funding of the San Jose Power Soccer Program

granfondo-oct-1The coach of the San Jose Steamrollers is cycling in Levi’s GranFondo to raise money for the youth of the San Jose Power Soccer program. John Connolly will cycle over 100 miles through the Sonoma Coastal ranges on Saturday, October 1st. While some of the professional in the peleton will finish the ride in 4-5 hours, John will most likely be on his bike at least double that time. Please help support the San Jose Power Soccer program by sponsoring his efforts. The King Ridge Foundation, which is the charitable arm of this event, has graciously agreed to pass through 100% of the funds raised from John’s sponsorship to the San Jose Power Soccer program. Click on the link below to sponsor Coach Connolly’s fund raising efforts for San Jose Power Soccer.

Steamrollers Finish 3rd in Champions Conference Cup Finals

2016-champions-cup-steamrollers-3rd-placeFor those supporters following the Steamrollers on Facebook, you already know that the Steamrollers finished 3rd in the Champions Cup National Tournament this past June in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Steamrollers played well against some tough competition, but our rivals from Southern California tied the semi-final match in the closing seconds and then went on to beat us by a goal in overtime. It was a tough loss for the team, but they bounced back to beat the Minnesota Northern Lights to take 3rd place in the late afternoon match.

Our first home games will be at the Bascom Community Center on October 22nd at the Bascom Community Center gym. Come check out the Steamrollers in action.
